Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies any results. Meade County Criminal History does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be kept as needed to respond. We limit the message to our organization and do not disclose it to an outside party unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Meade County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a personal criminal-record database. Instead, it identifies official access routes through the Meade County Sheriff, Kentucky courts, the Kentucky State Police central repository, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. The Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, and the criminal-history rules in KRS 17.151 govern qualifying government records and their release, not this private site's handling of visitor data. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and it does not turn visitor information into reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search tools that appear on some pages. Information submitted through one of those tools is handled under that company's privacy policy, not this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure rules. Review the applicable provider terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff pages, Kentucky court portals, state agency websites, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy controls that visit. Its policy should be reviewed before any personal information is provided.
Some advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites and select targeted advertisements. That tracking is performed by those providers.

Personal information is not sold. Depending on the service used or a binding legal requirement, information may be available to:
